Brass tubeless rollerball pen kit

An unusual kit that caught my eye so I ordered a couple to try. Shipping was quick ordering off the site was really easy. Good coms. I have ordered stuff of the site before. The kits turned OK and turned out very well. They have some really cool you tube videos as well check them out.

Looks good quality, interesting product different from other pen kits so gives the opportunity to be more creative.

Service and delivery was first class.

The only reason for the four start rather than five star is that I have turned a bunch of pen planks but have not as yet completed any of them as I tend to work in batches.

I have made up one kit - lovely turned brass parts, look the business - one issue with the construction, there is a lot of spring tension between the nib and the barrel insert for the nib - I used epoxy to fix the insert in the barrel as I didn't want a problem with CA glue setting on me before the insert was fully 'home'. Left it overnight before screwing on the nib and rollerball, but it has slowly pulled out of the wood barrel leaving a 1 mm gap. Should be able to dismantle it, then will use CA glue next time. Hope this is clear!

If the spring has too much tension it may be worth drilling pilot hole further in, there only needs to be enough tension to hold the nib for writing.

Since purchasing these kits I have built 2 and still experimenting on alternative methods,being tubeless and solid brass the the options are many and varied.Highly recommended and good value.
