Mini Cleaver Kit Stainless Steel

No real challenge here as the video makes it quite clear, and after all, it is only a handle. Key is the size of the aperture for the cleaver shaft. Although I followed the instructions to the letter, there was a little sideward movement once fitted - obviously because we are fitting a thin shaft into a circular hole. So I popped a bit of Gorilla glue in there to make it firm. Up to us and our imagination for this one to make the handle interesting. Just because it is a small unit don't make the handle small! It needs to be ergonomic! Good quality product. Even made a wooden stand into which to slide the blade to keep it safe. Must get out more often!

This is a great little kit. Simple to assemble and the final result is very eye catching and tactile.
I make the handle just a bit longer than you think it needs to be so that it sits comfortably in an adult hand.
To fix the tang firmly into the 9mm hole securely, I fill the void 75% with a sticky paste of glue and sawdust. The tang is then pressed home where it grips into the wood and the glue filler sticks to each face. Works a treat

Like all kits from Prokraft the cleaver is a quality item. It arrives presharpened (as the protective cardboard sleeve should give away) so care is needed assembling once you’ve turned your handle. I guess it will cut most things in the kitchen but personally I find the thinness of the blade makes it an excellent novelty cheese slice.
