I bought a number of these kits, (chrome and gold) some as presents and some to sell. They have been loved by everyone. Look great finished in wood and acrylic.

Bought these x 2, very easy to make and assemble,
note, if not confident on turning small items you may need the mandrel guides not supplied with this kit.
Now contains two rubber "0" rings 1 for nib 2nd for end cap.

As a novice word turnerI needed something to start. I saw the Prokraft web site and watched their videos on various pens, I decided to start with the he key ring pen. It was delivered quickly, very well packed. After watching video the process of turning the pen blank was straightforward. Very pleased with this kit. Professional looking results, with tiny o-rings to help anchor the caps. Just one reservation - the instructions suggest gluing the heel cap in and changing the refill by unscrewing the nib end; I cannot see how this would work, or have I misunderstood something?

The refill is in 2 parts, by unscrewing the nib section of the kit and pulling the metal part of the refill out (leaving the white threaded part in place) a new one can simply be pushed into it and the nib section screwed on again. NB: ENSURE WHEN CHANGING THE REFILL THE END CAP IS PUT ON AS TIGHT AS POSSIBLE AS INDICATED IN THE FITTING GUIDE - THE END CAPS CAN BE PERMANENTLY GLUED IN PLACE AND ACCESS TO THE REFILL GAINED BY UNSCREWING THE NIB SECTION AND PULLING OUT THE REFILL.
These kits are now supplied with a small washer that fits on the end cap to reduce the risk of rattling free.
