Just turned a mahogany base for a box. Had no more mahogany so added an iroko top. Looks great. Just need to finish it and am very pleased.

Very pleased with the hinge. Not so pleased with my falling into the trap of making the lid part heavier than the base, which, as my wife pointed out, means it is unstable when open. Thankfully, that was before gluing the timber in place. Back to the drawing board, or rather the lathe - one consolation is that the volume of wood used is small.
Will be buying more of these in different sizes - good quality and competitively priced.

These hinges look top quality and are top quality but a little expensive at nearly £9, hence the 4 star rating, but then quality costs.

Currently Axminster light duty 56mm hinge - £7.48 - we think ours are rather good value!

Very nice product. It’s a nice weight and well finished. I was expecting the hinge to be poor quality but I was proved wrong. I will buy these again without hesitation.
